Fire Pit Update

Although we have lots of favorite things about Lazy River Cottage, our latest fire pit update ranks as one of the top.

For those that have already visited, you know the fire pit area at Lazy River Cottage is a favorite place to relax and enjoy time with those you love. We always wanted a hardscape fire pit area, but just recently had the opportunity to make the upgrade. The fire pit area started with sod, that didn’t quite make it in the shade, followed by pine straw. We are beyond excited with how our hardscape turned out and can’t wait to share it with guests!



After a long 2 days of hard work removing pine straw, pulling up the original sod, and lifting and installing thousands of pounds of pavers and stones, we were excited to enjoy some time by the fire with our own family enjoying this new space.

We look forward to sharing this extrodinary space with guests for years to come. Come stay with us and make your own precious memories around the fire with those you love.

We happened upon this best-kept secret in North Alabama in 2017 when looking for a place to spend quality time with family.  The serene beauty of Mentone, AL along with its close proximity to Chattanooga, Huntsville, Birmingham, and Atlanta drew us in. 

 

Our family has spent as much time as possible on Little River by Desoto Falls ever since.  It has become a place of refuge and rest for our family and we have been blessed to have the opportunity to make countless memories in this extraordinary area of the state.
