A few weeks ago, on our way back to Mentone from Fort Payne, we happen upon a super fun and delicious creamery & bakery near Foodland in Fort Payne, Lookout Mountain Creamery & Desserts.
Who doesn’t love a funky dessert stop? This one is fun for the whole family! There is something for everyone.
A walk through the red telephone booth door frame transports you to a fun eclectic atmosphere filled with friendly staff and delicious treats.
When I stepped through the door, I never dreamed the smile that it would immediately bring.
They have ice cream, which we’ll try on our next visit. We were heading back to watch football games so we chose pick up a half dozen cupcakes instead.
We tried the red velvet, carrot cake, German chocolate, and strawberry cupcakes. You can’t go wrong with any of them, but I’m partial to strawberry so it was my favorite. The carrot cake was oh so good and if you like a mild chocolate cake with a rich fudge icing, the German chocolate is the winner.
Next time you’re in Fort Payne grocery shopping at Foodland or just out for the day, stop in and check out Lookout Mountain Creamery & Desserts. Enjoy some ice cream or take some treats back to the cottage to enjoy later.
